Falso Shepherd's pie........ cocina de aprovechamiento// Cooking with leftovers...Fake Shepherd's pie, my style

ENGLISH VERSION:

Today we are cooking with leftovers.. Only a little imagination can transform a meal into something entirely different.

In this case, I had bolognese sauce that made yesterday for lunch and have decided to take advantage of it and make these false or fake Shepherd's pie, of British origin and that in the original recipe calls for lamb, vegetables, a dash of worcestershire sauce,  covered with mashed  potato and  optionally cheese.

Today, starting from my "Bolognese" sauce (it's not really, it contains so many vegetables  that any resemblance to the original Bolognese, is purely coincidental), I tried to reproduce this delicious pies I ate in Ireland long, long time ago.

INGREDIENTS:

- Bolognese sauce
- 3 large potatoes.
- 1 knob of butter
- Salt
- Pepper or baharat (in this case very suitable because of nutmeg)
- Grated Parmesan Cheese

We have to make a thick puree with the above ingredients. I, on this occasion,  used the Thermomix, I first heated water, I added the potatoes, cooked for 15 minutes, drained them, it only reamins to add salt, spices and butter.

Thought I would have to add milk but has not been necessary.

In individual earthenware pots or large mold, extend the cold Bolognese sauce (puree is hot therefore it would be difficult to handle both things hot) on top of it, put a generous layer of mashed potatoes and garnish with a fork, making a grid, for example. Sprinkle some grated Parmesan.

Put in the oven at 250 ° C until we see that the surface becomes golden brown. Let cool a little and taste, with a green salad aside, you have a full meal.

Bon Appetit !!
